About the Designer
ENCI HUANG is a Chinese artist and fashion designer whose practice weaves together knitwear and conceptual photography. Through these mediums, she explores the fragile intersections of body, gender, and emotional memory, creating works that oscillate between intimacy and confrontation.
Our Story
ENCIICNE moves between fashion, art, and image-making, using clothing as a quiet language of the body. Through emotional creation and documentary photography, the brand captures intimate moments, fragile gestures, and the subtle tension between what is revealed and what is hidden.
Its world is minimal, sensual, and slightly provocative. Across ready-to-wear and artisanal pieces, ENCIICNE explores the body not only as a form, but as a place of memory, desire, identity, and resistance. Each collection becomes a visual narrative — personal, restrained, and emotionally charged.
Milestone
ENCI’s representative work CURTAIN received the Special Mention Award from Fondazione Sozzani and a Special Commendation from ITS, affirming ENCIICNE as an emerging voice in contemporary fashion and art. In 2024, invited by Sara Maino Sozzani, ENCIICNE held its first solo exhibition at Fondazione Sozzani, Milan. Co-curated with the foundation, the week-long showcase engaged an international audience and highlighted the brand’s growing artistic recognition.
Innovation in Knitting
Crafted on Germany’s high-precision STOLL knitting machines—renowned worldwide for over a century of innovation in flat knitting technology—and employing the Tube technique, the collection is made from a refined BCI cotton and silk blend yarn for a soft, delicate touch. Surface patterns interwoven with 100% polyester and spandex create a richly intricate and distinctive texture. Naturally elastic and close-fitting, the fabric offers both comfort and inclusivity, adapting to diverse body shapes while highlighting the feminine silhouette. Designed to be worn alone or layered with outerwear, the collection embodies modern sophistication, confident allure, and the innovative spirit of knitwear.
